so im looking at buying one and wanted to know if there is any thing to look for. or problem areas. thanks.

1997 f250
7.3L diesel turbo
auto 4x4
long box
about 150K new trans and tcase. at 140K.

I've got a '97 and love it! Any performance mods that you know of?
Typical things to watch for is the trans, front end issues (associated with the TTB); cam sensor failure (easy fix); All in all they are a great truck!:awesomework:

find out if or when the injectors and under valve cover electrical were last replaced.

yes, this also---the UVC harnesses and VCG's are also known issues.....

Got that exact truck! Love it. Only thing is it't kind of slow when you have 7K behind you. Other than that its bad ass!

Get it and replace that TTB front for a 60!
