Ya I know a couple people who voted yes who were not really liking doing so. Also know a couple people who in 20+ years have never and will never vote yes on a contract.
 
I haven't walked the line on 4 different occasions to have my benefits taken away by corporate extortion..unfortunately that is the world today, now everyone in this state gets to pay for the 9 Billion dollar tax breaks for a multi billion dollar company....
There having champagne, giving each other high fives and patting each other on the back in Chicago this morning....Bonuses for screwing the working man are soon to follow...

We have been paying for a few years...
 
People should just be happy they have a job. Anything more than a simple paycheck is a bonus..
 
Whats the big deal anyways? I mean if you guys want slack work and dont like boeing anymore then just look into a high paying MIN wage job in Seattle.


Pretty soon you are gonna be able to grab a big mac at the "lazy McD".

I feel the same way except for a small group of people there, I don't think most would survive in a normal have to bust ass type of job . Most are too fat and could have a stroke if their heart rate climbed . I know some people there wish they would fire most of the lazy fat people that had to have scooters to move them around cause they cant walk across the plant.

I have said it before and will say it again, Boeing could build at its current rate with less overtime if they cut out the right 30%+ of the work force that is lazy useless slobs. Hell, they may be able to build faster with less OT. Far too many that drag their feet and sand bag just to not do as much work cause they are lazy or want to cause over time to pay for their gambling habits.:looser:
 
Most the guys I know there are hard working--from what I have been told its the system that makes workers seem lazy..

Then again I never work on something then wait--I work work work...

There's plenty of good workers here. It's just very difficult to get rid of the ones that aren't.

I'm not saying there are no hard workers there... but I worked there for nights 9months and blaming ones job for being lazy might work for some. But I seen people sleeping at their desks hours at a time, I seen a lady so fat the repair man complained to me because she broke the mobility scooters on a regular basis, groups of people doing nothing all day long.
Where I work when there is nothing for employees to do they send our asses home without pay and we return when there is work, we don't hang out doing nothing till we hit overtime to get **** done.
Sure there are hard working people there I seen them there too, but there is a ton of dead weight and wasted hours that could be dealt with and none of this would be an issue.

Its the ones who bust their asses that make it work. There are plenty of people who work hard, but a lot of the ones who do nothing are good at "looking" like they are working. We only have about 800 people in my building on all three shifts combined and I would bet anything that you could do the same amount of work with less OT if they had the right 600 people. It doesn't take much to slow others down when you are talking about a part that takes 6 different people in 4 different areas to build. These are also the same people talking about how "skilled" they are, and fallow the union crap like it was the bible.:looser:
 
I imagine boeing has the same issue we have over here at hanford. Little work gets done monday or tuesday. Wednesday stuff gets tinkered with, thursday work begins to get busy then friday, saturday and especially sunday they have to put in 16 hour shifts so things get done on overtime so they can jerk off again monday and tuesday. It's a lucrative way to operate for the "workers" since the first 8 hours on saturday is time and a half and the rest of the weekend is double time. Them workers need to "get their fair share" you know. :cheer:

The union would lose their asses in a legal battle if they tried to fight it. The old union workers that are trying to screw over the younger generation are just throwing a fit.

The beauty in the last vote was, you could cheat. You could go to each union hall, find the card with your name on it and trade it in for a ballot right away. If they cared to check and see that you voted more then once, it wouldn't matter because they couldn't see which way you voted. This time was much more difficult and look how the numbers changed. People need to think with their heads instead of letting their ego get in the way.

The international has the final say in a revote or no. They want this passed like it or not. ALL members of the union had the chance to vote and many chose not to cause they did not care any more. That, or they thought that it would fail and did not need to vote. It passed and is done.
