call EOR - they have the hookup on AL links thumb.gif

6160'S are $75 a pop for the links and $12 per end for drilling and tapping

The last time I checked it was nearly $1000 bucks for just the alum stock.....roughly 8 sticks @ 40" each. It was 7075 though not 6061. 7075 is right at twice the strength of 6061.

Here is the quote I just got from them. This is just estimated lengths.

8 Pc 7075 T651 Aluminum Round Bar 2" Dia x 40"-Long $500.00
UPS to 75758 TX is $53.84
Total is $553.84

EOR can make them for cheaper than that or damn close to it

Yeah but is that 6061 like stated above or 7075? I was under the impression everybody was running 7075 links. The thread above is the first Ive heard of 6061 stuff.

6061 is soft, you want the 7075.

So based on that qoute you would be paying $635.46 for 8 aticks 2"x40" if you used the eBay rate.

Kelly sourced mine and I remember it be like $13 a foot for 2' 7075. Which reminds me I need to pick up my excess that he still has...

No read the quote he sent me....$553 shipped to the door. If your gettin that stuff for $13 bucks a foot I would sure like to know where. I would buy it in a heartbeat. Dont want to do chromoly because of the weight factor.

Your not talking alot of weight difference for peace of mind.

From what Ive seen the 7075 links have a pretty good piece of mind factor.....but Ive been wrong before.

watch your jamnuts, already ripped two joints out of mine because of loose nuts... had to thread them in deeper...

4 the cheapest price ive found call the local steel shop like oneal steel thats where the 4x4 shop r get it :drinkers:

Called Oneals and the Houston shop doesnt even carry it. After getting online they dont carry 7075 anywhere.......

i ran 6061 T6 for 3 years with no problems. i always check my jam nuts after every ride. 6061 is softer with more give, so it will bend but won't break. 7075 is harder and wants to break instead of bend
