Re: Anti theft on offroad rig.

I pull out the essential fuses needed to start my jeep and replace them with blown fuses.

I had a picture saved at one time but can't find it. For those of you with art Carr/winters shifters you can lock the shifter into park with a pad lock. Weld a tab that sticks up in front of the shifter and you're good to go.

Question about kill switches both hidden and in plain sight.

Do you wire the switch to the Negative side or Positive side?
Mine is wired on the hot side of the fuel pump/pcm power relay.

I always kill the power, depending on the item, many times they can "find" a good ground through the body or frame via connections and bolts.

Yes and one will also run on the alternator so make sure you kill the fuel and spark.

Has anyone seen the UTVtrackers.com product they have out now? It looks to be pretty nice and is really cheap for the tracking service at like $25/year. Device is around $170 bucks. If I read it right the device works for so long even after the power is cut to it and all.
