Passenger side is the preferred spot, since it will help reduce torque lean with soft springs, but it will be effective in reducing axle wrap no matter what side you put it on.

And before you ask, suspension is more important that exhaust. If your exhaust is where your wrap bar needs to go, MOVE IT.

On a toyota its the gas tank that is an issue. If you have to put it on the drivers side put the upper link as close to the top of the diff as possible.
