anyone got any info on the 240 chicago electric plasma cutter from harbor freight? how reliable is it? how thick of metal does it cut? pros vs. cons? i can get one pretty cheap, just wondering if its worth my time. thanks

Don't know about the harbor freight one, but we have a Longevity 240 at the shop. Got it off of ebay and it cuts damn good for what it is. Only drawback is a pack of 6 tips cost around $100, and you cant just go to the welding store and buy replacements. I like that it has a 20ft ground and lead.

Check out eastwood. Got one a few weeks ago an it is the ****.
had a Lincoln an this one cuts just as good. Cuts 3/8 220 unit
An tips you can get at a local welding store

yes....i boughtthe most expensive one they had and complete junk! itsjust enough of a headack that u just want to go buy the miller for a few hundred bucks more. i hated it! dont waste ur time or money with it. im just glad i purchased the extended warantee with it, made it easer to return.
