• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Back to square one.......

OK, so here's an update:

It's been on it's lid:redneck: I bent a tube, and cracked the hood. Minimal damage, easy fix. Was able to right it, and keep on going, mechanically sound. Unfortunately no pics or vids.:redneck:

I went ahead and fixed the hood and decided to shave off the rear hood pins too. I made a hinge on the back so it can be easily opened by one person, and doesn't need to be set aside. Turned out pretty sweet. I also got the skins just about done, need some final trimming here and there still.

I also got the hood and grill wrapped. I will be getting the skins, roof, wheels, and some misc stuff wrapped next week, turns out sweet! Big thanks to WuWraps. Check out my boys work, www.facebook.com/wuwraps.

I also built and engine skid, stopped by Liam's place (Locofomoco) and he let me draw these up, then he cut them for me, turned out sweet, just need to get it mounted up.

I think you can also see the 1/2" UHMW boat sides i made, and mounted to the rockers somewhere in the pics. These protect my fuel and tranny lines, aswell as hopefully make it slide easier. I used countersunk allen bolts, and used a wood router on the corners for a smoother transition and better look.

Well now that you have that out of your system... keep it on its rubber so you dont fawk up that new wrap.. :haha:

Here's another picture of the boatside, and the fire extinguisher mounts all welded up. These turned out sweet, and they tested out good for easy to get to and release in the event of a roll, check them out on www.trophygirldesigns.com

Good to meet ya yesterday Clark! And this thing in person is even more badass very nice build looks and works great!

I run the engine skid the same way with the bolt.. like Brad said... dont sweat it, soon it will be ground down almost flush anyway. I had to grind the head back to shape so I could get a wrench on it to get it off.

got the wrap finished up, i may do more later, but finished for now. Tried getting that retro fj40 look. White grill, white top, tan body. Did white inside the roof too.
