block huggers and collector mufflers

Curious. ...outside of the noise does anyone see there being an issue with running collector mufflers off of block hugger headers. I know race cars run open headers and most bouncers run the collector mufflers but they have longer tube headers generally.

It should be okay. The only issue you may see is a lack of back pressure. Depends on the compression of your engine. The more compression the engine has, the less back pressure you need. That is why stock engines usually fall on their face with open exhaust. If you are running a stock motor, you may want to put extra back pressure cones in with header baffles.

Thxs Scott. ..it's a ZZ350 chevy performance motor.....not stock but no major horsepower motor either.
