Buggy build "Indecision"

When the driveshaft sits between the seats, it's a good idea to have something to control the crunch, crack and pow when it happens. It'll have a plate above the yoke as well to deflect any flying pieces. I have a history with driveshaft killin.

I got to spend a good amount of time in the garage working on the crawler today. I got the rear four link laid out and put the tires and wheels back on to check for clearance issues. Now to get my link bars bored and threaded. Also got my rear disk brakes cut off and reclocked. Also got my springs from the brown truck today.

I need to just fix all my lights. They've died one by one and I've just not put ballasts in them. I built the garage without windows for a reason. They are too easy to break into. I guess I was still in the same mindset as my old house location when I built this one out in the country. We moved here from the ghetto when we were young and poor. :****:

I was swapping my ballasts and bulbs out for the skinny ones that withstand cold better. Winter times hell on fluorescent lights.

Re:

I'm putting 4ft led lights in my garage they look like the fluorescent fixtures but I'm hoping they last longer. Plus they were 37 bucks a piece at SAMS.

The guy tbat lived here before me was a mechanic. There are about 15 or so 4 ft lights in my garage.. It's BRIGHT. I mean bright as in at night if U pass by my house all U could see was the garage windows lit up.. I love Em. other than not being able to open the doors for 2 seconds cause of the bugs. Can't imagine not having them. Bulb choice is important to. Some are like a yellowish color and some are bright as ****! I rarely have to change mine and they stay on most of the time. Won't regret brightening it up! Do a few at a time if Ur not sure. Mine is to much.

With yours being a basement garage it helps them live longer. My garage is usually whatever ambient temp is unless it's winter time and I'm in there with a fire cranked up. That's rough on fluorescent lights. They don't like the cold.

Nothing seemed to be going right for my actual work today so I decided to see if anything would go right on my buggy. It's actually been an all around shitty ****ing day. Working on my buggy is like therapy for me. I got my link bars back today so I figured what the hell. Also got my radiator back too.

That went pretty smoothly so I decided to go ahead and mount the rear shocks.

That went okay so I said **** it. Let's move on to the front.

Well that went pretty smoothly so I decided to finish weld some brackets and things and put some springs on and see how it sits.

I only welded it about halfway before I cycle it. The rear is more in question for me. I haven't put the springs on the rear yet so I could cycle it easier. I'm pretty sure the front will be fine. I've also still only got the rear tacked for the same reason.
