So I managed to scrounge up some material from work that cost me zero doll hairs, now I'm second guessing myself on whether or not it is beefy enough.

Building this hanger for my 88 4runner SAS project.

Grabbed some 1/8 wall 1x3 for the cross bar piece, and some 3/16 wall 2.5x2.5 for the hangers at the ends. Plan is to notch the hangers into the cross bar, like I did on my last one, but before I used 1/4 wall all around.

What say you, NWW?

the .125 wall for the crossbar should be fine, as it will be at least stitch welded across the core support...the original spring pockets were not even .125" thickness on the early solid axle trucks, so if you build the pockets right, they should be fine...I've cut a couple off rigs that were production pieces, and they had .125" crossbars...

Excellent, was hoping somebody would chime in with a cut apart production type. I don't know anybody that didn't build their own with 1/4, so I was kind a hosed at first. Let the cutting begin!
