It doesn't matter if you can see through it man, most factory systems these days provide very little if any backpressure at all which is why you'll find that those aftermarket setups don't really do you much good (at least in most all cases).
I ran no cat for 6 years in my 96 maxima, never once did I have an issue with emissions or check engine lights because of it, for the most part catalytic converters are just another way for the companies feeding the politicians to make a couple extra bucks off us.
