Check my axle math

[Turtle Bite]

I am narrowing a chevy Dana 60 to toyota spring pad width. The toyota spring pins are 29.0" apart, and the chevy spring pads are 31.5" by my measurement. I want to use a dodge shortside axle (1.5" shorter) and a custom long side, 3.0" shorter. So 4.5" narrower total? Just making sure I am not making a $500 mistake ordering the wrong inner axles and cutting my axletubes too short. :beer:
