Got a group heading to Choccolocco Mtn. from the Nashville area.

Which route is better:

I-24 to I-59 etc
or
I-65 to AL-67 to US-278 etc..

So 1 vote for each way.... Anybody else?

I will be pulling 2 rigs and everybody else single towing. I was thinking I-65 might be better to keep from having to go up Monteagle, but it looks like the I-24 route is more interstate...

Also the distance to get to either 24 or 65 is about the same for me.

Have they fixed 59 to where it's not bump-bump-bump-bump-bump-bump for miles and miles... ??
I live in Ft. Payne, which is on 59, they have got it paved now! all the way from the state line to about 15 miles from all new concrete! its fine now.

Damn I may try it out next time, I blew a trailer tire every time I went on 59, so I quit going that way about 3 years ago

Re:

I'd say 24 to 59 then cut through piedmont on 9 to Jacksonville and your there. The roads suck on 65
