im goin here for work 27th i will be there for 8 weeks. was thinking about staying at best western or ramada hotel. any one know anything about them or the area what is there to do there?good bars, restaurants? i will be working at the paccar plant

Not sure about Columbus but you may want to try Anthony's good food market in West Point. It's about 30 minutes from Columbus. They have a web page. Steaks are fine and the beer is cold.

They have a pretty good dirt track race on Saturday nights!

Old hickory steak house is good too.

Call the hotel, listen for an accent. Usually tell right there if it's gonna be a good one or not.

I live in Columbus. Hucks, Zacharys, profits porch, and old hockory are all great restaurants. Anthony's in West Point is awesome to say the least.

I usually stay in Columbus ms, one night every other week for for work. I really like Wingate hotel/motel. Its clean, English speaking people and about 3 miles from the main drag and just off hwy82. I dont drink so dont know about bars. Dont forget the "W" is in Columbus. Mississippi University for Women, and has a good nurse program...
