I have a 98 Dodge Cummins 2500 srw with a 4.10 ratio Dana 70 rear axle.
The posi unit has been clicking and clacking under heavy torque/heavy loads when cornering for awhile. Im going to assume the clutches/carrier are worn/wore out.
Now Im starting to hear a little growl under accell/decell.
My big question is what other dana 70s share the same parts?
Can I use carrier/gear parts from older D70 dodge/ford/chevy trucks inside here?
What spline are the axles? Fine? older ones coarse?
Id like to keep the repair cheap with used parts of possible.
