Thank you for your email. We understand and are aware that our website was having complications while trying to keep up with the unpredictably high volume of traffic on Saturday during the Friends and Family sale. We apologize that you were unable to complete your order. Unfortunately the sale was for Saturday only and we will be unable to honor any pricing. This sale was intended for Friends and Family of LaCrosse Footwear employees and was unexpectedly spread throughout the internet. I apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. We will be modifying our Friends and Family Sale in the future to reflect the original spirit of the sale.

If you received the email offer directly from a friend or family member at LaCrosse, please contact them directly, by end of day Monday, to place your order.

Thank you

Yup, Danner missed out on at least 5 pairs of boots being purchased by myself... OH WELL! :awesomework:

Just means none of us will get a deal like that again.

Yea it kind of sucks but as they said it wasnt really meant for the general public anyway. The internet can be a real double edge sword sometimes.

:haha::haha::haha::haha:

I can't believe Danner FUBAR'd themselves like that! I wonder how many orders went through before everything crashed, and how much money they lost by selling so many at half off??? Wow. Epic fail.

That's why i have a snap-on tool box filled with danner boots! :fawkdancesmiley::haha:

Got mine today and wearing them right now. I still feel dirty though :booo:

I wish I woul've read this thread before now  I figured it was just a regular sale... not a 1/2 off sale! :frown: **** my life

They're overrated. I've had a pair of mine for 13-14 years now and within the past 3-4 years the soles started peeling from the bottom. :looser:

I have had red wings do the very same thing. I guess those are over rated too....

Yea the quality items are always over rated. Better to shop at second hand stores :awesomework: I mean rell what kind of fool pays for good quality stuff anyway :eeek:

Ya I missed the sale .... I'm pissed... I've never had a pair of boots that have lasted over a year and I usly buy nicer ones like red wng cathartic goergia ect

I've bought my last two pairs at the Danner factory, down in Portland area. You can buy scratch & dent for 1/2 price all year long. My last pair had a minor scuff on the leather. I also took my old pair with me, and had them re-lined with a new goretex sock and insulation. They do nice work down there.

One pair is probably 20 years old, the other is probably 10 years old. I should buy another pair, and dump the old ones, but they're still holding up.

In order to have it make sense (cents) you've already got to be heading down to Portland.

(Not sure if the factory is in Portland or not anymore.... but that's how it was back then)

when i bought my first pair of danners they were imports and lasted 2 months so i bought the usa ones they made it about 8 months i was laying pipe doing road construction kicking around sand and gravel all day bought a pair of whites and there still going strong after a couple years. i always paid full price.... the whites were spendy but they wont wear out.

So, what's so good about Danner boots?

Went to the local store to check them out. I really don't like buying shoes on line. One size with one manufacturer doesn't fit with another...

I really don't see anything 'better' than the other boots out there. Is it because they're 'Made in America'?

Enlighten me.

The Danners I have (3 pair, USA) last a long time, stay waterproof, and are comfortable. There are plenty of other good boots out there, find a pair you like and can afford and buy them. I also own a few pair of Georgia's that I really like.
