and for what it's worth, I thought it was a mature, well written, articulate.... well just damn thoughtful answer as to why we do what we do.

SURE there was......

Have you been drinking?:stirpot:

Sorry, I took it off because I wasn't sure I liked it... oh well... here it is again:

In response to Eric saying: "I guess I just meant that it's interesting how one person could could think nothing of one issue while another person considers it the biggest deal in the world, and yet the 2nd person could give little care to a different issue that the first person was passionate about..."

Why am I against it?? I'm only 22, shouldn't I be completely care free about this kind of stuff??.... I’ve done it in the past… what’s changed??

I’m lucky enough to be in a position where my life is finally going exactly how I've always wanted it to go. I have a good job, an amazing bf (also with a good job), the jeep is nearing completion, and lots of other goals are actually beginning to become attainable (a house, cars, vacations… they’re all within reach now!).

I would hate to see all of the hard work that both Eric and I have put in be compromised to any degree as a result of alcohol. The financial costs, the threat it may put on jobs, let alone the possible danger to lives is enough of a deterrent for me. I’m not someone who goes into a situation expecting the worst, but I do recognize the potential negative outcomes and I make my decisions with those risks in mind. For me, what I want out of my life is not worth the risk to wheel and drink.

There's no part of a "buzz" that will make it a higher priority than the other things in my life. It is for that reason that I don't drink and drive.

... now, go ahead a tear my thoughts to shreads with counter points....

The question posed was NOT about drinking and driving, but rather drinking and wheeling.

yeah, how stupid of me to confuse wheeling with driving.

Edited out the rest of my quote I see.

so here it is again.

The question posed was NOT about drinking and driving, but rather drinking and wheeling. And drinking and driving pertains to ROADS, not trails.... It is a rhetorically posed question. Not a legally posed question.

so take the "ROADS" and "TRAFFIC" out of the equation and re-evaluate the "RHETORICAL" question.... Is it then ok?

And just because I'm feeling particular arguementative, Chad if wheeling buzzed is soooooo bad, how come you think truck surfing is so cool?

Truck surfing rules :clappy:

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

anytime you are on any US governed right of way it is illeagle to drive drunk. this is not always true on tribal (The Res.) land. my overriding issue is control. with your first sip, do NOT challenge your abilities and slow down. the more you drink the more you must slow down. if you drank enough try L1 at 1100 RPM and stay on a flat trail.

the truck surfing comment on my sig is a joke. If you knew me, you would understand the reference.

That's the thing. I don't wheel buzzed. And if you knew me, you would understand that also. Ask olllllllo how much I drink. She knows me. I just believe that religion, politics, sexual orientation, alcohol, and most subjects will have more than one viewpoint. Not that I want any drunk, heretic, left-right wing, asexual passangers wheeling with me. But if a drunk, heretic, left-right wing, asexual wants to do their own thing, and it doesn't effect me in any manner, what's wrong with it?

so all freedom is lost since its not legal to drink and drive.....

So how many things do you have to lose before you think there might be a problem?
Is it OK to lose 58? 786? 167590?
Its not a matter of any one thing, its everything we have lost since we became a country.
It used to be not only OK to protect yourself and your property, now you better be prepared for court if you protect your wife and kids when some a$$ bag breaks into your house.
I don't believe Nuzzy said anything about getting trashed and hitting the trails.
If you want to make a generalization by saying "drinking and driving" as a root of loosing freedom, you must be willing to say "its only one trail we have lost, we have others".:corn:
Has this country become so used to loosing its rights, that we soon will have no rights?
We have more then enough laws on the books to "protect" us now. Drinking and then driving is not against the law, open container and driving while intoxicated is.
I am by no means here saying get drunk and drive, most of the time I wont have a beer on the trail, there are times however I may have one for lunch of a social wheeling trip. Does that make me a killer?
Watch out, I own a gun, does that make me a killer?
Hell I own a pencil, that by no means makes me a writer....
So, just how many rights are you willing to give up? How free is your freedom?

my house is protected by ADT, then Sam (my AMSTAFF) and lastly by Ruger :flipoff:

about losing trails.... maybe the drunken trail-necks are causing us to lose some of them

got a problem with the laws.... go vote or move to Canada hippie :flipoff:

Yea, none of the other of us wheelers have ever served:flipoff: :flipoff:
So ADT is going to go to court for you, you are lucky....:clappy:
Where did Nuzzy ever say drunk or me for that matter?
Go vote, gee nobody does that:rolleyes:
Have you ever lost a trail, if so have you never lost some freedom?
So if we want to spread A beer to passed out drunk, I can see A trail to all wheeling.
It is against the law to be driving while intoxicated, get that enforced. Oh wait its already illegal, so call the cops on the next drunk driver you see out wheeling, heck you can use my phone, I am all for that.

waiting on you to make a point :flipoff:

All you have to do is open your eyes and you will see some:rolleyes:
However I can see where getting into a discussion made you slip into calling names and trying to belittle others... I don't see where it is making you points, but if that is all you have, go for it, I get a good laugh out of it, and I am sure that it leads into your creditability. :flipoff:
