This winter im going to swap my atlas t case to a SCS im currently running 1350 joints.. I was gonna upgrade to either 1410 or 1480 what do the fellow hardliners think?? 1410 be good enough or go ahead an go 1480 then I can just pick up a rockwell driveshaft kit an run rockwell flanges..

Also do the 1480 joints allow for as much angle as the 1410?

That's what I been thinking.. Just need some reassurance lol and on the plus side the rockwell stuff is cheaper and easier to come by..

I'm definitely not a tech guy but I'd think 1410 will hold up, I'm running 1410 rear with 1350 fronts, stickies, big block and I will beat on it, personally I think it's all about the angle, just my 2c :dblthumb:

And I ride with a couple guys on here with 700,800hp big blocks, I know one of them is running all 1410, no breakage to my knowledge.

I'm running all 1350 now an have never broke one.. im just gearing up for big horsepower an wanna make damn sure my drivetrain will handle it before I do a motor swap.

My opinion if your 1350 is holding then going to 1410 is waste of $$... Only reason I ever suggest a 1410 is when 1350 won't handle the angle... If your gonna do it go 1480

Pretty much the same thing I was thinking! 1480 or leave it alone..

FWIW I haven't broke a 1410 yet either, but don't have a high HP motor either.

How much HP does your buggy have? And I found the pinion flanges on northern drivetrain for like $120.00 each..

I went with high angle 1480 shafts but they really like there parts alottttttt!
I haven't had a failure yet but I was only running a 5.3 with 2 turbos and now a 432ci.
