Dual batteries in an 80

- I was wondering on putting dual batteries in my 1980. I was wndering what I may need t get besides tw batteries, some cables and some kinda f islator. But what I am wondering what parts to get and whos done and like it. Will the stock alternator I got keep up with it. Let it out and lets see what we can brain storm something. Thanks David
 
well since his name has toy in it and it says he's got a toyota my best guess would b a toyota, but thats just me:fawkdancesmiley:

toy pickup or fj?

On the pickup I had the second one on my flatbed under the deck

On the last fj I did(40) I did the duels behind the front seats
 
- Its a pick up crash. I still have the stock bed for now. I bobbed the hell out of it.


There is no room for a second battery under the hood.

If it was me I would lop a hole in the bed--built a rack and stick the batteries down in it--keep the weight good and low ..
