hi i was wanting to do 22re coversion in my 84 yoter, i wanted to know how hard is the wireing what all i need and do i need the newer style block and head that came with efi or can i use the old style block and head it is an 82 motor thanks

you basicly need another 2nd gen pick-up that came with efi. rob the wiring harness for the cab and the engine bay and replace yours with the efi one,efi intake( and related parts), gas tank and lines, and possibly the head if yours isn't the universal head.

Grab the dash too....Matter of fact if you can grab the whole pickup for a swap you will save yourself alot of time, $$, and headache...The good thing about it is toyota was pretty good about putting plugs in the right places to undo harnesses...
