Need some input on how to make a removeable fiberglass panel over the transmission tunnel.
I will be using steel for the floor pans.I want to have someone that knows how to do it, or if it isnt that difficult, I would consider doing it myself.
Any references or suggestions?

Already tried that, it wouldnt lay down. It was too wavy and it tore easily. Im sure it would work, but I have spent too much money on this rig to have junky looking interior.

16 guage aluminum, sheet metal brake, and removable panels ( top and sides). IMO would be much easier, more durable and a lot less hassle to deal with.

this is .090 and built in a muffler shop... it just takes time and a little ingenuity...

If I was doing this at home. I would do it from steel if that is what you are most comfortable working with it. Don't be afraid to section it and grind stepping up your finishes It will look great.

I dont have any metal working tools at my house. CSC Fab built the chassis and was gonna do the interior with aluminum, but I didnt really like it having all the seams and wrinkles. The floor pans will be steel, but I want to do the dash and console with fiberglass.

I think you would be surprised how little you need todo this at home, You don't need a brake. Simply a sturdy table, some clamps, a piece of 1 x 3 or 2 x 4 square tubing and presto you have your own way to bend aluminum or steel. Then all you need is a hammer, mallet, cut of wheels or jigsaw, whichever you prefer, I like cut off wheels....
Fiberglass is a bitch and how durable will it be...Good luck
