recently completed my 90' 258 to Ford np435/np205 swap and am having some issues.
The problem im having is when the Jeeps idling and in neutral in both the transmission and the transfercase it will hold the idle and then when the transfercase is engaged, transmission still in neutral and the clutch pedal released it will start going forward....
When it moves forward the clutch response is normal, as in when the pedals pressed it will return to idle and then when the pedal is relaxed it will begin to creep forward. Just like the transmission was in gear. BUT ITS NOT its in neutral.
The tranny will shift in between all four gears and reverse with the clutch engaged BUT while in gear, when u relax the pedal to take off, the engine dies. And my twin sticked 205 will shift in between all ranges when the trannys in neutral and the shifter posistions feel solid.
spent the last hours searching and am seeking advice... any help would be much appreciated.
