My wife and I were out for walk this morning and we were just about back to the house maybe 20' from the front door and a pit bull come up the driveway and stops about 5'away. I told my wife its fine and not 10 seconds later he comes at me and bites my leg. I was able to get it to run way.

We have some losers that live about 3 houses away. I went and got the biiggest club I have and headed for there house. I was in the middle of the street and the dog saw me and came charging. I was able to keep him off me with the club till the owner came out.

So I told the guy his dog was dead the next time I see it loose. He was not happy. This was my first time meeting him and I made it very clear if I see the dog in my yard again its dead no question about. I told him if it would have been my wife the dog bit the aid car would be coming for him right now.

WTF is wrong with people. If your going the have a beast like that keep control of it.

****ing pitbulls should be illegal. Another one loose bites or damn near kills someone, but most on here like them, imo they should be wiped off the earth. But some owners of these killers think they have control of there weapon. Especially fellow wheelers. I would have shot that piece of **** dog and threw it on the owners ftont step. Should need a permit to own a deadly weapon like that. As usual, nothing will be done to the dog or owner. Both should be put down!!!!!!!

Damn, your leg alright? Those ****ers are mean, I've been attacked by a pitbull a few times, once while fertilizing the lawn at my grandmas old lot and the other just walking up my old street, first time I ran like crazy into the shop, the second I had a bat and stood my ground, luckily it only charged towards me but noticed i stood my ground so it stopped and growled at me a bunch. Both times were the dog was let outside by the dumbass owner and they didn't watch it so it ran loose.

x2 !!!!!!

It broke the skin but really not to bad. If I wouldn't of had the club when I went to talk to the owner it could have been bad. It could have been anyone walking up the street.

I would call it in, you know the dumbass owner just laughed it off.

X2! I would definitely call it in. Not that they would do much going out there (who knows since you have physical evidence), but at least they will be made aware there is a dangerous dog on that block and if it happens again, but the dog doesn't make it, the police will be on your side and it will be an easy process.

It will take a couple times of that pos biting someone before anything will be done. It will be someones little kid or some elder walking by and het maimed or killed before anything will be done about it. ****ing sad!!!!!

I love pits, and own 2. I'd have shot the dog in question too. I woudn't hate anyone if my dog did that and got shot. Sucks though.

Seen more instances of the owners fault vs the breed of the dog.

Then again a dog is just an animal.

I feel you here, I was also bit this weekend by a black lab. Noticed you said beast of a dog (not pitbull), some people drive me crazy like some of the others who posted that those dogs are all killers. I can understand if the people that posted comments about pitbulls don't have ANY dogs but if you have a dog then well you my friend are the ****ed up one. I blame the owners and the people who raised the dog. Yes I have a pitbull and yes like most dogs she barks when people come up the the house but will not come close to you. Also I keep her locked up in the house and only goes outside when I'm around, I also did not raise her, the people who raised her let her bark (wrong answer). There has been a couple times i almost put her down because I personally feel barking is wrong and can lead to biting. Like crash said the dog is a animal and animals can not be 100% trusted.

I will never own anything but a dog from off the street or pound due to people just dropping them off and I like giving them a second chance. My last pitbull was the best dog I have ever owned and wish I could find another like her.

Hate the city and its ghetto people, not the breed of a very smart loyal animal.

I am friends with the breed and Mark, so Im gonna just sit this one out. :D

yup, beat the living **** out of the worthless owner! :awesomework:

the dog is only a refection of the owners care and intent.

they do not deserve to have any dog!

but really call the cops and file a complaint with photos of injury. this is very important from here on dealing with them.

I agree that the dog is only as unsafe as the owner who raised it. None the less the dog is dangerous, put a bullet in it!

Agreed, once a powerful dog bites one person it needs a bullet in its head. Doesn't matter the breed, as some cannot protect themselves(kids, elders) if it were to happen again. If it was me the dog would be dead, end of story.:corn:

gotta go with the call it in group Mark. Just in case it happens again then you have a repeat offender and the cops might do something. not to mention if you get an infection or such.

My neighbor called the police. She saw it happen and saw me heading to the guys house with a club in my hand.
I told the cop I was going to eliminate the problem. He said he would talk with the guy. I said I already did and he should too but I made it very clear what was going to happen if I saw the dog out again. He seemed to be ok with it.

Do like the guy in bellingham yesterday who walked down and shot the dog right in front of the owner. Even though it was the wrong dog he had the right idea:awesomework:

That really sucks. Second the statement watch out for infection. Dog bites can be pretty bad.

You should at least have animal control come get the dog and test it for rabies. Rabies virus is weird. You might feel a slight flu symptom in the next couple weeks and not realize you have it. If you have it and don't get vaccinated for it, by the time you realize you have it, it's too late. There might be one documented case where someone survived it and even that is contested. Rabies is one of the worst deaths imaginable.

When it comes to a powerful dog, use something larger than a 9 iron and make sure it's done. A buddy of mine put three rounds in one in his yard and ended up paying vet bills. The local police didn't have a problem with it. Seems they don't' like menacing dogs and delinquent owners either.

**** off. A barking dog does not deserve to be shot. The owner that doesn't do anything about it however... :;

That. A coworkers wife got bit when their boxers go into it and 6 months later, she is still having the wound scraped and cleaned... :wowwow:

With the exception of my dog. Pits (with a good owner) are the most calm/relaxed dogs I have been around.

Was just saying the thought of taking action himself is what I was saying. No **** a barking dog doesn't deserve that. **** off yourself. If a barking dog deserves it then my neighbors would be first in line. Little ankle biter has barked non stop for years. Have complained to the owner and to animal control. Nothing happened of course. I even asked to buy the little ****er just so I could make it disappear!!!!!!! Comes down to worthless owners of pets/weapons

If one of my dogs were to bite someone and that person came into my yard and shoot it I would be mad until I found out what happened. I would do it myself and have done it once before with a old lab mix (not pit). With that being said if a wiener dog were to bite me or my family (dog also) I would do the same and that dog would never be seen again.
