impco 425 mixer (new style)

it appears that backing idle mixture screw out will lean it down and screwing in the top end screw will move plate inside mixer closer to the inlet so that should lean it down Is this correct?

If you screw either adjustment in(clockwise) it will lean the mixture out. You should not need to adjust the power mixture, it is preset at Impco for the correct air/fuel ratio. The idle mixture should be adjusted for the smoothest idle. You want to make sure your timing is correct before tweaking the mixer.
