or is the GM 2.8 in the 85 blazer a ***** to work on? to get the bell housing off, you actually have to jack the body up, and you cant get the rear main seal out without dropping the crank.

Michaels favorite motor :haha: That's why mine is still sitting out front. He takes every opportunity to cuss at it when he walks by. :haha:

they told me, "this truck needs a clutch. go ahead and start pulling the tranny & t-case, and if you need help just holler". then, after i got the tranny & t-case loose, i found out that you have to separate them to get them out from under the truck. then, they told me that this is probably one of the hardest vehicles to do this kind of work on, and this is my first time doing anything this involved. good thing i am not on flat-rate. i got the tranny & t-case out right around the time the book said i should have been finishing the re-assembly.

What a bunch of sissies... My wife swaped her trans out by herself. You mean to tell me she is more capable than you lil girls?? :haha:

WHy do you think the red blazer is sitting :haha: :haha:

But I also know all the tricks---on those pile of craps :redneck:

those are easy to work on, compared to a pre 96 dodge dakota without a body lift. ive never had to jack the body up. just yank the transfer case, and then the trans. should almost fall out.

Try working with the dakota for a while. you will be cussing dodge engineers in 15 minutes, or less.

you can either lift the body or use a BFH:cool: the most furustating part is that there is nothing inside that be effected by making the tunnel 1 1/2 inches bigger.

Put a port-a-power wedge between the body and bellhousing and just push it up a 1/2" and you can get on the bolts.

Good luck on the rear main seal. (14 revisions)

I cuss out all engineers regardless of who they work for
