Swapped in an AW4, TCM and shifter out of and XJ. Reclocked the tcase by drilling a new set of hole in the aw4 trail shaft. Had to buy the crazy balancer to move the CPS to the front. Put together a cross member mount for the transmission so I can drop the belly pan without having to support the trans and tcase with a jack.

Had to remove some cross bracing in the rear and move the gas tank to fit the 10.5 and wb stretch I had planned. Just a little time and two nut serts and I was done.

Finally got around to doing some work on the front axle. When I put the truss on the front nobody was making one for the TJ superduty swap so I had to get a tuss for a snow fight front and get creative with a grinder.

Thank you so much for posting this! And "they" said this forum was "unusable"

It is so cool to see the slow transformation over the years with such good narration and documentation

First, go around I drilled and tapped the stock mercedes steering box for hydro assist. I had a 50/50 chance of my mercedes box working without any problems on the road at highway speed and I lost that coin toss. It worked great on the trails but was twitchy and scary on the road.

This is the 3-4 time I have tried to post a build thread, I am really glad it's working today.

Picked up some DIY front fenders. got them together and had to trim the battery box and replace and relocate the windshield washer tank

Added some armour to the old girl because I like them with a little meat on the bone. Picked up some rear blanks and made the wheel opening to fit my stretch. Also had to trim a little off the front to make it look right with the DIY fenders.

I stumbled upon 5 new 42's for next to nothing. I know Iroc's are not everyone's first choice but they have worked well for me so far.

I should have put a disclaimer at the begining of this thread about things being a little out of order and this being a crappy build thread. I added some coil overs to the front.

I picked up a set of half doors for $100 and with a quick color change, they are perfect for the trail.

Build ended up coming out with a WB over just over 110" on a 3 link front and 4 link rear.
Hydro assist.
Coil overs on the front with triple rate coil springs in the rear.
5.13 gears in the D60 and 10.5.
I still had AC\Heat, cruise control and the transmission shifted like it was factory. But the steering was twitchy on the road.

Took it to Choccolocco for the shake down run.

Got a little brave on the first run and decided I need to add a little more protection in the form of add on front cage.
