Bodhi built this chassis quite a while ago. Build was on pirate.
He then broke it down to build the timber tiger.
Steve got ahold of the chassis and swapped some of his stuff into it.
Then he decided he was out of Wheeling.
So now I have the chassis.
I had a bunch of stuff laying around for the version 2 of my truck, but with a kid and a Foster, truck had to go.
Krunch is still capable of having 4 seats, bodhi built it as a family rig.

So I swapped my axles into it, got the stuff to connect the 2 23 spline cases
Built some mounts for the engine after removing the stuff that was there.

This is what it looked like before

Still need a few more parts and some motivation.

So engine is mounted hard now.

blue paint was all i had...
got wires poked into cab
got seats at the moonshiner's swap meet this last weekend
4 bills for the pair.

krunch had prp seats in it before, but I don't know what steve did to the seat mounting for his el cheapo seats

The ls400 compressor top plate isn't going to work so well.
So I'll either change out the top plate, just stick a shipping plate on it, or see if one of the other variant's compressors will work better.

There's not a lot of clearance for the pulley either. May need to swap out the clutch for something else if I can't make the room for the steering bolt.

I have a universal "drag race" radiator and a spal fan inbound.
Free time is proving the hardest thing to come by.
Foster boy is out of the house now. My son is getting big enough to start fetching wrenches :)

Had to make the hard choice to go Hannibal Lechter on 'er

needed a little clearance for the radiator/fan

started stitching tube and realized I don't have a 1-3/4 die for my bender.
So I guess I'll be working on the heater core and wiring for a few days while I wait for the dies to arrive.

Got the heater box out. Steve ran a screw into the heater core.
Need to order a core.
Got my steering wheel disconnect. It's a damn empi part. Gotta adapt to my steering wheel (omp)
So I ordered that.
Got the tank mounted

Filler connected and mounted

Checking things of the list

I've been slacking on updates
Didn't get a pic, but I have the clutch line run and connected and bled. And it moved under it's own power for the first time with this setup.
I was fighting an unstable idle, and after looking around a bit, realised this engine metered it's idle air.
So I had to make the iac hose fit after the maf
It looks crappy but it works. Perfect, smooth, stable idle.

More AN Clamps showed up. I'll need one more pack I think.

Try filling the fluid and see if there's any adverse effects of mounting it this way
Soon I get to start putting her face back on

Couple more tubes

I also got the brakes bled, but the line lock is leaking. Not sure what Steve did there
And got the creeper joints moved on the rear, so she's actually sitting at ride height now.

She already had a slip n twist anti wrap bar.
So I decided to reuse it after modification.
Ordered a mount kit, because for 41 bucks it isn't worth my time to make it

Then cut apart and reworked the bar a bit.

Thing is 250 wall and the front part is solid bar.

It's not completely done, but it's effectively done

All 4 corners cleared, no interference besides a slight contact with the exhaust pipe. I can live with that.

And I got the heep soft top thing mounted

Gotta wait for friends to send me pics. I haven't really gotten any yet.
The new power steering pump took a ****.
Didn't make for a fun trip back from the rocks

Found some stuff online that should cure my steering issue for about 400 bucks. Not bad.

Cheese pics

The silver rig is another one I built/helped build
That one's a 7mge sura motor rebuilt properly when shaved head and block, metal head gasket, 75 lbs on the bolts, etc.
