birdie told me someone cough cough may or may not be working on something similiar to what you describe......

We used to run Casale's with PG's in our Sanger's behind some pretty stout motor's. Can you say "SLINGSHOT"? :woot: :woot:

Getting close to my holy grail drivetrain for bouncing, 700 ls hp - glide - SCS - hybrid rock/80's with violator shafts.

I just put basically a very similar box from Pro-Fab in a new buggy. We decided to go this route for a couple of reasons.... 1. was indestructability... 2. was WoW factor.... 3. was the MAIN reason, it was several hundred cheaper than the upgraded atlas we needed and we had it in 5 days after we place the order!!!!

it spun a bearing a couple weeks ago its fixed now though

I'm one of the biggest LS fans and man oh man this makes me sad :(These LSX 454 crate motors are not holding up that well. There's tons of guys on LS1 Tech and videos all over the web were these things are letting go. Most are either spun bearings or the worst ones with thin cylinder walls and their busting. Some of the motors have been so screwed up that GM has been buying them back. GM Performance didn't put the usual work and time in on these like they have in the past for some reason. The LSX block is the ****, but it needs to be bought and then a good shop put better parts in it.

Did GM warranty the motor when it spun a bearing?
