Anybody have a good method of getting rid of the mildew smell that isn't as bad as the origional smell(like using bleach). I had a leak in the camper and moisture sat under the bed mat..

Why didn't you take the camper to the Hammers?

I can only imagine my tranny would have lived if the camper wasn't on the rig for the whole trip. Oh and driving slower might have helped. Either way the tranny is getting built and although it sucks to spend the cash it shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Bleach will kill mildew, but can be hard on upholstry. I've got some stuff called marine clean that cleans that stuff off pretty good. The vinegar idea also sounds pretty good.

I quessing that its the bed mat that smells? Take it out of the camper. Clean it and hang it outside for a few days to air it out.
