More Cougar ....

So, I had an old thread on here w/ the pics and info from my injected 5.0 / T5 / Suspension swap in my 68 Cougar.

So I found the old thread, and none of the pics work... so I figured since the 4Runner is gone, and I am going to be putting more $$ in the car again, I would just start a different thread, and add some of the old pics in for those that care and that haven't seen them.

This round of work will include adding the 8.8 Explorer rearend w/ 4.10's and factory TracLoc
New Tranny (the T5 that I started with was ****ed up from jump street)
New rear springs
Fix blinkers
Fix sequential lights
Tires and wheels
New Center Link
Alignment
Carpet
Trunk Mat
and other little misc things....

So today I drove to Granite Falls and picked up these...

I am looking for a GOOD T5 is anyone knows of one... not the 94 style w/ the longer input... just the standard T5

But is the backspace gonna move 'em in too much? Or are you widening the track width abit with the axle swap and whatnot...

No, I will run a wheel spacer to make up for the difference... should be about an inch

So, I brought the car home today. Some mice got into it in storage. Doesn't look like they did any damage, but just some mouse **** on the seats.... The little ****er ran out and looked at me when I was driving it home, then scampered back up under the dash while I was trying to find something to smash him with... he will die... soon.

So I just couldn't wait, so I had to try and test fit the new tires / wheels... looks like I will need about a 1" spacer in the front, and a 1.25" in the rear. They are really going to spruce up the looks of the car. I will get some spacers ordered this week, and hopefully the rear springs, carpet, and maybe some stuff to work on the blinkers and sequentials...

Old wheels had about 3.75" of backspace, and the new ones are about 6.25"

.. the mouse must have scampered away because I put 2 traps in it on Sunday night, and they are still empty...
