Maybe it's not news to you all, but it's news to me.... looks like SST is likely going DOWN in the near future :booo: something about widening the 509 or some such nonesense....

....had some good times there! :cheer:

:booo: :booo:

NOOOOO!!!! I haven't gotten to ride there yet... maybe time for an emergency run to say i rode there at least once... :booo:

My understanding is that it's not gone yet....but it's days appear to be numbered! :booo:

I know, I'll have to go for a "good ole days" run sometime soon....some dry day soon! :awesomework:

:( SST no more?

At least we have the more modest Colonnade, but that plain sucks. Back to diggin at 25, 27, etc. I guess. I can understand needing to widen roads (a good thing) but I hope they let "us" build elsewhere.

Holy crap, dude, they don't really "let" us build anything- they're all on the down low, until they get blabbed about on the interweb, that is...
Know anyone with a few hundred acres of hilly land with scumbag-mountain-biker sympathies.... that's who'll "let" us build :awesomework:
:cheer: :cheer:

Ooop, I switched back to the SST again. The road won't take up the whole thing, at least I think, so if the Flowpark has to be rebuilt (hey, above softies? ), then that's ok, provided we can get the nod again. My coworker is buddy buddy with the dude who organizes everything down there. She's one of those rare cyclecross chicks who likes mud.

Yeah, it's hard to say how much of it will get eaten by the road, there seems to be some varying reports..... go cyclo-cross :cheer: (chicks no less, yummy!) :masturbanana[1]:

They have been talking about the widening project for years now, i remember about 2 years ago they thought SST was going bye bye yet its still there, so sadly i will beleive it when i see it.But for now i might have to run down there this weekend and jam

Yeah, we're always on the brink of disaster, I guess. But it sounds like there have been tons of surveyers there lately (all pretty tight lipped, I guess), and lots of trees are marked with spooky white tape.......suspicious! :booo:

Just make sure the white tape gets changed to tree's *not* in the flowpark.

Just got back from a ride at big finn/st. eddy's w/ the GF. Pretty damp, but very rideable. :awesomework: Just a nice 1 1/2 hour ride around. A little cold at first but once you get the blood pumping it's on like donkey kong. :cheer:

I was there too :cheer: walking the dog :booo: . It just wasn't quite a riding day, even though it shoulda been... Good riding conditions, though, huh?! Instead, I ended up going for a RUN, in preparation for the spring riding season :cheer:

I didn't vomit :cheer: but I won't be walking tomorrow :booo:

Ride on!!:awesomework:

PS- You don't have a little red VW (I think it was) do you? :eeek:

I have a little dog that looks like a bear-cub.... although people usually ask if he's a "Toto dog" :rolleyes: He's an Australian Terrier :cheer: - looks like a little Yorkie on steroids :;
I have a little green Subi- Legacy type, I think you parked RIGHT next to me!

Glad you had a good ride, and I'm sure I'll see ya out there soon! :cheer:
