But, it does sound like it's actually happening now. Sounds like it'll be open to Competition in '09, and "the rest of us" in '10 :looser:

Ive been involved in that since the first idea rolled around in higher ups heads, didnt turn out how i had thought but its a cool little place on a rainy day even on my 50 pound downhill bike hahaha

I was planning on taking the GF over there to get her a little more used to terrain and such. It is definitly a good spot for learning and the "phase 2" part is for the big boys....

Yeah, that's my understanding of it, too, it's a good "starter" area....still, I might have to bring the DH down there for a little spin.... I'm genuinely interested to see what's there. I could always use some skill building!! :awesomework:

Collanade is cool. I can spin away on some fun stuff on lunch here in Seattle.

It also is covered so you can get your fix in during the winter and not have to hose the mud off when you are done. Cool.

Even some of the smaller stuff has been torn out over the course of the summer, there was a fun little jump, wasn't hurting anyone, easy to go around, but super fun to hit..... but now the lip is knocked off...:booo:
Even little log-jams, with easy go-'rounds, gone. The bigger stuff has been gone for years, but this little, little, little stuff, well, there was no real need to rip it out. :puke:


All that said, those trails still have some flow.....:cheer:

nice, ya i went last year when i was first getting my GF into biking, and we went all over the big finn park, there was some good log rollers and such in there for her to learn on and it was challenging enough for her and i wasn't bored either.:awesomework: I will have to check out the northern region soon....before the rain returns...:eeek:

MD69,Josh (a co-worker) and myself went to Japanese Gulch.It was pretty fun...we stayed on the XC side of the gulch and rallied on some fast single track.....killer conditions!! I ate **** ten feet from the ride being over and now my leg is burning from stinging nettles...meh.

The gulch is pretty close to home, so MD and myself will be hitting it up pretty regularly(her more than me) but I'll try and get out a little.She's gonna drag her DH bike up there and hit up the freeride side.
