so im trying to get a little better mileage out of my 1989 f150, it has a 302w EFI.
Im thinking the o2 sensors might need to be replaced, but i really dont want to replace all of them. I believe theres 3 or 4 of them and id like to get by with only replacing 2.
So my question is if i leave the one behind the cat alone and dont replace it. Is the computer going to listen to the 2 new o2 sensors (1 per header) and disregaurd what the one behind the cat is saying, or is it going to go into a default mode and run rich like it is?

Binder is the FIVE-OH 02 MUTHA ****ING KING!! WOOT WOOT!!:bananallama: :bananallama:

If Rick says doit..........doit..........even if you think it's gonna taste funny:;

Lots of reasons it could be running rich....Mike is right a narrow band O2 (what you have) either works or it doesn't work. They can do some funky stuff in between but if that's the case then basically it isn't working.......Not sure what that has to do with the original question though?
Check your codes....
