'99 24 valve CTD. It was totaled when I bought it. Now it has 35's, straight exhaust, etc. It also has a very built 47RE, and rebuilt (stock) engine with ARP studs. Still have a lot of work to do, and I haven't quite decided on what route to go with it yet. Either a pretty tow rig, or a trail-ready tow rig...

You are pulling quite a bit more weight than me when my truck was a standard cab SRW. How does it handle curves on the interstate? Cool truck.

Keep it as a tow rig that can do emergency extractions when needed in my opinion. Any reason you pull the truggy so far forward on the trailer? While I know it doesn't appear to be negatively impacting the tow rig, it just looks pretty forward.

Yeah, that's probably what we'll end up doing..

I agree that the rig is pretty far forward. I tend to keep my rigs a bit more forward than most people, because I prefer to "feel" the weight on the tow rig. I just pull up until I see the tow rig suspension compress a little bit, and then I strap her down. I think I probably need a bigger drop hitch.

Here's my pile o' junk. '97 12v Cummins, 5spd, 4wd. Roughly 166k, all stock except for a S&B intake and 5" exhaust. It's a 4.10 truck with 235x85s , it really needs taller tires. I've got a set of 19.5" rims from a tater chip truck that I need to get set up for it. This pic is a couple years old, it has a WinchReady front bumper now that still needs a winch.

Its 4 linked front i done myself on Slam Specialties HE-8 bags, rear has a srw leaf pack (truck originally was a srw 3500 4x4) with bags. Rides almost as good as an excab 1500! Everybody loves how it rides ;)
I havent done a build thread on it yet, but i plan too. Theres many ways to do it, but everyone that has looked at mine really likes it.

Thanks man! It's a 50 footer, it looks good from 50' away, but up close it's BEAT! :****: It's an ex cone-dodger buggy that was built in '04. It climbs like a mountaing goat on meth, but it needs a lot of TLC. With some time and money it could be pretty nice again, but I've pretty much abandoned it since I've been working on my other build. It looks sad sitting there, I need to spend a little time on it and get it in wheeling shape again and get back on the trails.
