After last year's tornados and being without electricity for a few days, I decided that having a generator would be a good plan. My problem is with storing enough gasoline to run it for a week or so. It would seem far more practical to run it on propane (stores forever, less hazardous than storing a fairly large quantity of gas). So my question is this: What's involved in converting a small gas engine (11 HP Tecunseh) to propane, how expensive, any drawbacks? How much would I need to run it at say 50% to 75% duty cycle for a week or so? :dunno:

Got natural gas at the house? Put in a line and shut off valve where you can hook it up temporarily and set it up to run off that. No fuel storage whatso ever.

**** I may have to look into doing this with mine! ;D
