Pressure washers?

Honda or kohler engines are the only way to go from my experience. I have a Simpson with kohler engine been using going on 5 years and working like a champ . I got it from Lowe's for around 500

I have no experience with electric

Whatever you do, don't ever try a real pressure washer, otherwise there is really no further discussion necessary. I used to borrow my buddy's 2500-3000 psi big box store model to clean my dog kennels, horse trailers, house, etc. It works, but you are only cleaning a swath about 3-4" wide or less, so it took forever. I picked up a 13 hp honda with a gear driven Cat 45G pump and 100' hose off craigslist for $500. The cleaning power is a function of both pressure and volume, so a pressure washer that puts out 4000 psi at 2 gpm is not as good as 3500 at 3 gpm. This thing is a beast, it puts out 4.5 gpm at 3500 psi and will cut about a 12" strip. Drastically reduced cleaning times, so I can spend more time doing fun stuff and less time with chores. I let my buddy borrow mine and now his just sits in his garage

Ive had my eye on one of these for a long time.....Those are some bitchin specs @ 4500psi and 4.5 gpm. Ive been trying to buy PTO driven implements when I can.

I've used a Troy bolt one and a ryobi one I've borrowed from friends. The ryobi worked much better but was the more expensive unit, 3100 psi. Only downside I saw was it had a really small gas tank and would run out during use. My dad bought me one for Christmas but I haven't used it yet. This one-

Looks like a decent one for the money, but the specs arent astoundingly better than the electric one I mentioned earlier that costs less than half as much. I'm thinking for what I need, the electric one may cut the mustard til the need for a hoss-daddy bad mofo pressure washer comes along. But idk...fooling with drop cords may be as aggravating as gas and oil changes.

I have the sun joe without the hose reel. It does great for what it is. I've used it to clean the porch and the grill and a little bit of sidewalk. I have a gas one also but this electric is much easier to deal with for small jobs that don't require that much power. No way would I want to clean the driveway with the electric washer though.

Picked this up today off Facebook. Brand new never ran for $200. Works awsome and very easy starting. Has honda knock off engine with 5 tips and chemical tank.

See thats what I am looking for as well, something that is convenient, reliable, but doesn't have to strip paint or blow paint off my bumper. The electric ones I have been looking at are made to turn on and off as you squeeze the trigger. On Lowes website, the SunJoe brand has the highest and most ratings over the others. Watched a bunch of Youtube vids and a ton of people have reviewed the model I am looking at and say they are happy with it. It's 2030 psi and flows 1.76 gpm, double click the wand trigger and it goes into a lighter pressure pulse flow mode, let go and squeeze trigger once, back to high pressure mode. Also has 20' high pressure hose, 35' power cord, detergent tank, 5 different nozzles for the wand, hose reel, and only $179.

Sun Joe 2000-PSI 1.76-GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer without the hose reel. It was delivered yesterday. Played around with it a little yesterday. Seems to do a good job. Now I need to get some soap for it. And a few options for when we go to clean the house.

Finally got hotsy! On auction $755. 9hp Honda. 3k psi Have not gotten to use it yet, the old $325 one that is yellow from Home Depot still works, used it yesterday to spray out some stuff. It has been surprisingly reliable, I bet it is three years old now
