So just putting along and getting closer to having some steering in this thing
Here is the orbitral mounted. I thought I had the complete stock sami steering shaft and I didn't--just the u-joint. So all I did was take a portion of a toy steering shaft--turned it down so it fit into the splined area of the zooks u-joint and welded it in--As a safety precauting I also notched the shaft where it went into the splined area and retained the bolt...
So the rig is now half way there to having steering.
So I drug this tuna can out and---time to get the ram mounted...

Today was good prgress--got to the mark I wanted to...
So I lopped off the plate that sits where the shackle will go

Here is the little gusset I made to retain the passenger inner u-bolt
And here is the front diff--the only thing left to do to the front diff fab wise is make mounts for the shocks--which will come a lil later... But the ram is now fully mounted..

Here is the ram mount on the housing---if it leaves the housing--its take a rather large chunk of the housing with it,lol...

how wide are the springs in front and how much did you have to limit the ram to fit between them?

Stock toy width--roughly 29" center/center...
The ram is setup to dimple the bump stops slightly.....
