psc clevis ends shim ???

[no excuses]

bought the PSC large clevis ends and they come with 4 shims about .125" thick and with a .750" hole. What am I sopposed to use them to for, I know as a spacer but to space the clevis end off the ram or what??? does not make sense to me or do I just leave them out????

they are so you can tighten the clevis end's up and keep them at the angle needed for your tie rod heim, so they don't wobble and eventually strip caused by leaving them loose.
