Removing scratches from windows

How do you guys remove light scratches from windshields. I have some from small rocks and sand that ruin vision out of one of my trail trucks. Very light and barely able to feel with my fingers.

I have seen some kits and I have watched some videos. However, real world knowledge goes a whole lot further.

Though this guy does not speak well, I probably believe him the most. Bonus is that he isn't trying to sell me something.

The above link seems to be pretty well detailed too.

I really don't care which method, kit or whatever to do. I just want to get rid of the scratches. Thoughts or experience welcome.

Clay bar from wal mart works well then buff with a finish polish with a buffer. This will take care of minor scratches. If too deep. No real way to remove. Sometimes even this leaves a swirly haze. You need quality products to do it right.

Post up what you do :)

If your talking about regular automotive glass, you'll be better off just replacing it. I did auto glass for 17 yrs and never saw anything that got scratches out easy. And if it's got a bunch of pits in it, you'll never get those out.
