anybody ever make a bolt on rotot hat before, I haven't been able to find a suitable combination of rotor and caliper for my rear end so I am looking into making my own hat to fit a wilwood rotor onto my hub, I just wonder if mild steel will be OK or will it tend to warp under heat, it is for an 8 lug app , any advice?

Wilwood offers a variety of blank rotor hats, they are inexpensive, Spidertrax also has them which are similar, but use there proprietary components.
If you need one give me a call and I will try and find one to fit your application

I'll look again on their website, I didn't see any blank ones, I need to use a 11.5-12" rotor with about 1.25" hat , I am pretty limited on space so my caliper is acually bolting directly to my spindle so I think the hat is going to have to be custom, finding the exact hat I need would be slim.
