im planning on converting an 88 2wd extra cab to 4wd. i know ill have to put anew trans and t-case in, and power steeringpump on box. but other than that will it be pretty much that same as an sas on a 4wd? same measurements and all? ive already done an sas on a 86 4wd runner.

The 2wd and IFS 4wd frames are different, IIRC having the hump over the front axle like a SA 4wd frame, so the measurements would be different.

id much rather have a 2wd frame than a 4wd drive frame if i were to build a toyota. very small differences that wouldnt steer me away from building a 2wd up.

the 2wd trucks are a solid axle 4wd frame. the motor mounts are the same, it humps up like already stated just like a 4wd solid axle frame. so in all reality, a 2wd rig is a better starting point to start with than a ifs 4wd.
