So I had a meeting with the boss this morning and gave my notice--that was hard and he was pretty upset over it.

Always a tough thing to face...I only hope your meeting went better than mine did when I moved on. I do NOT for a second regret the decision I made to move on though. Stress level is waaaaay down, and pay/vacation time is waaaaay up! :redneck:

I worked at the same place for 27 yrs, left about 3 years ago and now work from my own shop, was tough making the move but now looking back and looking forward Im glad I moved on and am excited for whats in the future, good luck Mike

your box is sitting un supervised? sounds to me like new employee hazeing!
it was a tough call for me not to jump ship from my current shop to go over there. had they called me a couple weeks earlier it would have been game on.

Ugh, just did that. Management decided to swap some people between teams and I ended up having to switch buildings (Have one at the dealer and one down the street). They were nice enough to call a tow truck but of course we get the new kid driver who don't know a damn thing about loading **** that isn't a car. Get both of my boxes on the truck and start trying to tie em down and the kid goes "Man I've never hauled tool boxes before, and I don't really think I like it". Ain't got anything but chinsy ass 1" ratchet straps in his toolboxes of course. I was on edge the rest of the day after watching my livelihood bounce around on that rollback, thankfully only for 2 blocks. I can't imagine how it was for the other guy, he's got a triple bank KRL with a locker on each side of it and the same driver moved that one.

So I will say--I have not been this happy about going to work in a long time....
