Some assembly required (A Toyota cab truck rebirth)

Well you know how it is, J Rich came over and we bent the front shock hoops and the bumper/ front winch mount and Lay talked me into goin to Pericos :drinkers: and bowling with the wimmins hitit . Needless to say I didn't get much done yesterday, however he is supposed to return the favor tonight so maybe just maybe it will be exoed out tonight.

Looks like you about got the bender figured out though. Did you zero the bender to take up the spring back?

Well he was supposed to but didn't make it last night, maybe another day haha and I aint got the bender figured out quite yet I am just getting luck a lot molaugh

This is all I have done since the last update, had to take a middle of the night trip with Lay to get a steering axle for his buggy.

Bridge was rough as hell!

Anyway got a couple bars notched for the bed and other than that just checking out my truss for the rear axle.

Well my homeboy Cheapj7 came over tonight and we got the A pillars tied into the hood bar just a couple windshield bars and a bunch of kicker gussets and the exo is ready for paint!! loller.gif :eat:

Gotta get my rod ends and some link material for the rear and this gill will be trail ready! :drinkers: :woot: :woot:
 
Got a couple more bars in the bed, some battery protection and I think I will make some storage out of the other side.

Lay gave me this twisted customs fj grill and I cant decide if I want to fix it and use it or not, what do yall think?

Is it just me, or is the tailgate bar crooked in relation to your lower subassembly as viewed in the last picture two posts above mine.

It does look like the left tube coming out and up to the left tail light is lower than the right side...making the cross tube uneven..I didnt notice that earlier when looking at it...

Bingo! got the bend a little off on one side and tried everything like tying one side of the bar to the rear axle and jacking up the other side before I welded in the kickers to the b pillar but was un successsful but it was my first bending project and I couldn't afford to ditch that piece of tube. Guess I will have to live with it. :puke: It isn't too bad looking straight at the back.
 
How was Harris Steel to deal with? They aren't far from me and I was considering giving them a try over Besco. $1.95/ft is a tad cheaper than Besco last time I checked also.
