What kind of fluid should I run for my steering.... OR what is the best fluid to run in general ?

Elixer, Royal Purple, or good synthetic will work great and is what PSC recommends. The Elixer has seemed to work best for me.

How good of a flush would I need to swap over to synthetic? I mean will it mesh with residual power steering fluid? I remember back in the day a friend mixed synthetic 2 stroke oil with standard 2 stroke oil and it turned to jelly, cost him about a $4k power head on a bass boat.

I still run a toyota steering box on my zuk, I burned up 2 gm pumps, and they would be so hot, read everything i could, bought a new GM pump for a 454 1 ton truck, put a fan on the cooler, and run Amsoil 0w10 Hydraulic fluid, I can ride all day long, and the steering box is not even luke warm! its amazing
