With all do respect...
I am not a contributing member of easyline. I was asked and declined once. I enjoy coming here and BS's with like minded folks. I've never been banned or threatened to whoop someone's ass. I've tried to contribute when things slowed down. In no way am I trying to start trouble.
With that being said, why is it that this forum feels the need to sell shirts?
If I see someone rolling in a hardline shirt or similar shirt I know they know "what's up." I feel like they will lose that cool factor.
Two questions:
1. Where is the extra money going?
2. John (to me seemed) pretty adimint about just giving away shirts or selling on site to raise money. What has changed? Did he not represent the rest of the OGs?

This is coming from someone who rode with John at least 10 times, sometimes just me and him when Casey would get lost, and never asked for a shirt.

This is the only reason I didn't jump on new ones. I have some of the originals jon gave me

The shirts are for Forum Members only, we will not be selling them on site and you will not find them on our website if you don't have the link.
The proceeds are going to this forum to keep it running and cover expenses. After design cost, shirts, taxes, paypal fees, my personal time, shipping and Hardline's cut I am pretty much making nothing out of the deal at $18ea. Which is fine with me. I just like this forum and want it to continue to do well.

What's wrong with everyone on here being able to get a t-shirt, that shows they are a part of it?

This horse has been beat to death for years. Its pretty simple in concept. This forum as any does cost money to operate. A financial burden John was happy to assume. We as a club and OG's ( as commonly referred to ) have tried to resolve the financial portion several times with MattO or whomever is actually clicking the pay now button. Ive offered to send cash and I rarely use the site anymore. Greg has taken on the duties of eyes and ears here to fill the void we all have, OG AND FOrUM members in JohnG's abscence. He presented this option and believe me, it has been weighed for months with all sort of discussion. The money brought in WILL be used to pay fees, do upgrades, any remaining for rides or donations. MattO and myself started the club and the website with the bylaw that it WAS NOT for profit. Every member has always agreed to that philosophy. Its not going to change. Tshirts have ALWAYS been asked for purchase since day 1. Our logo has been stolen, you name it, we've seen it. You gentleman that have an original given to you by JohnG or any other member should cherish the fact you own one. These are not the exact same shirt, and honestly I dont think it would matter much if they were. I dont really know what else to say if you think its not special or cool. All the shirt orders tell me others strongly disagree.

Eddyj, if you dont think your shirt is cool, just dont wear it brother.

Thanks Matt for chiming in and explaining this. The proceeds HLC receives will be used for site fees and maintenance and not pocket moneys. As for selling them through BK, they are set up for this kind of promotion and can reach out to the many on here that do not or cannot make it to an event to get one in person. This was purely driven by the request for them on the Hardline shirt thread, no other reason why. Thank you to all of you that have purchased them, myself included, and please continue to help keep this board the best on the net. :dblthumb:

Again. I enjoy this forum more than anything on the web.
I'm just simply asking a couple of questions that have been brought up offline.
If anything I want the OGs and Gregg to put concerns to rest that no one is getting rich and there will be no pop up adds for viagra in the near future on hardline.
This was posted as a chance to explain the reasons not for you guys to have to defend yourselves. It's your playground I'm just playing in it. I'm thankful you have taken the time to keep it going.

For the record I will buy many shirts and wear them proudly.

Exactly why I gave some background. There is not a single member that wants to sellout brother. Guys like you are why the site is successful

I see what you did there! :woody:

All that aside, if it ever does become an issue being a financial burden to the powers that be, I would be more than happy, and have offered before, to throw in some $ to keep it going.
