we asked permission but only a few of the group chose to hit it.


It turned out pretty good. I have to redo my rear truss and tie it into the rear diff cover and replace the lower link bushings... other than that, she is ready to go. :****:

it was completely flat..

It was caused by dropping the clutch several times in a bad way..
It will be boxed in when all said and done.

I would mate it all the way across the the houseing due to the abuse you are gona place on it in the future.

had a feeling that plate truss wouldnt last...build one similar about 6 years ago and it did the same thing...just warped up...

small boo boo that i figured out over the weekend. :flipoff1:

When i redid the rear truss, i cut the old top link tabs off ,then strapped the top link johnny joint up to the bottom of the cage.

Well, i never noticed that i let the jeep lean to one side. We welded the the top link straight back down to the top of the truss without checking center. turns out it was nearly 3 inches from center. :gtfo:

it is nearly fixed now , but caused me a major ****ing headache after tryn to figure out why my shocks were not matching anymore. >:(

Update


Since completion, Ive been nothing but smiles with the bullet.

Ive changed the exhaust to one 3 inch flowmaster and realized that i need some sort of bumpstops for the front for unexpected jumps.

I have a small wiring gremlin that i keep putting off fixing but Ive finally deplinished the 30 amp fuse stock we had in my group. :****:

I feel Ive pushed the 6.17s very hard and they still look brand new when i popped the cover off last week.

I can tell a major difference in stability with the new lower and wider stance. I can still see myself selling it and building a single seat aetna style buggy in the future. Till then, i will just keep beating on the ole girl.
