Hopefully this isn't to controversial for this forum but I am desperately trying to get the word out about what is happening to the Second Amendment in Washington state.

While collecting signatures to get 1094 on the ballot, I'm finding that too many gun owners don't even know whats going on.

Last year 1639 went into effect.
All semi auto rifles are now "assault rifles" yes, that includes 22LR.
To purchase a semi auto now requires taking a class (must be taken every 5 years). You must Permanently waive your HIPPA rights and be subject to an annual "enhanced" background check. Minimum 10 day wait, CPL holders NOT exempt. And finally, semi auto's are now added to the pistol registry. This adds an additional $18 fee, so the State can keep track of what you own.

THIS YEAR, for the 2020 legislative session, we are facing

COMPLETE BAN ON SEMI AUTO SALES and REGISTRATION.
Semi auto's purchased before the effective date of the law will be required to be REGISTERED.

MAGAZINE BAN.
As I read it possession will be a class C felony, punishable by up to 5 years in jail and $10K fine. The magazine ban has actually been introduced twice, both on its own and with the semi auto ban.

BACKGROUND CHECKS ON AMMO PURCHASES.
This may also end online ammo purchases, I'm not sure. At the vary least ammo would have to be shipped to an FFL.

I am sure there is more but this is the worst of it.

If you are a gun owner or just appreciate freedom, this is the time to get informed. Spread the word, Email your representatives, sign the i1094 petition (most local gun shops have it, online sigs do not count), There is a rally in Olympia Jan,17,2020.

DO NOT sing it twice or sign two of them in different places. That will invalidate the duplicates and the original.

The left gets away with that kinda crap, but you better believe that we will be double/triple checked and held accountable for ANY mistakes possible.

An initiative was filed yesterday, perhaps the day prior, to recall the State's Attorney General. Premise being, that he's delinquent in his duty to enforce the State's Laws, namely the State Constitution which states Right to Keep Arms. Keep an eye on that political hot potato also.

DO NOT sing it twice .

I shall sing it twice. I shall sing it loud. I shall sing it softly. I shall sing it in a chorus, and echo it off the mountaintops. I shall sing it in the shower.

You shall not tell me how or where or why I cannot sing. Other than, of course, I shall also be singing it off key. :fawkdancesmiley: :haha:

Armageddon Arms on Lewis in Monroe has a copy of the petition to repeal I-1639. Get in there and sign it!

Thank you to everyone who has signed and is taking action to stop these unconstitutional laws.

Link to map/list of signing locations for i1094

https://www.waguncontrol.org/

As of Saturday it is looking like we need another 120K signatures, by Dec,28.

If you can, pickup a sheet or two (each sheet is 20 signatures). I got a sheet filled with no effort at all. Mostly, non gun owners even. All people that couldn't be bothered to go to a signing location.

There are 600k CPL holders in Washington and over a million people voted no on 1639. It's going to be pretty sad if 300k gun owners cant be bothered to sign a paper. Especially with what we have coming our way now.

I'm sure everyone has heard, we came up short on signatures to get 1094 on the ballot. We did good for having such little time, no funding and a silent media. They say if we hadn't been shorted on time to collect signatures that this would have been successful. I have heard the signatures may be being held for something In the future. I don't know if that's accurate or not.

Moving on...

The following extreme anti gun owner bills are currently moving along as planned.

HB 2241 Bans sale of semi-automatic rifles, requires registration for currently owned semi-automatic rifles and bans magazines above 10 rounds.
UPDATE New Section 1(c) "(c) A conversion kit, part, or combination of parts, from which an assault weapon can be assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person." Class C FELONY!

HB 2240 Bans all magazines above 10 rounds.

SB 6077 Bans all magazines above 10 rounds.

SB 6076 Bans sale of semi-automatic rifles, requires registration for currently owned semi-automatic rifles and bans magazines above 10 rounds.

SB 6161 excise tax, per round on ammo

Carried over from last year:

HB 1068 Bans all magazines above 10 rounds.

SB 6052 Bans all magazines above 10 rounds.

HB 2519 - Background checks on ammunition/End online sale.
I'm sure that will include the new permanent waiver of our HIPPA rights as well.

I think there will be a lot of non compliance but plenty of good people will be made felons over these laws. I think enforcement will depend heavily on what county you are in and the officer you are dealing with. There are no shortage of " the law is the law" cops out there. If they will ticket you for lack of mudflaps on a forest service road, what will they do when they catch you with an unregistered rifle or a couple Pmags considered to be felony crimes.

We really need law enforcement to lead the way on this and we need to be ready to back them up. I think they may be our last hope. They all need to be speaking out against these unconstitutional laws and refusing to enforce them.

Gun owners are overall very supportive of law enforcement. However, I think the police will lose a lot of allies if they start arresting people over unregistered rifles, Pmags, etc.

You are correct. Unfortunately the crazy conspiracy theory forums trying to paint cops as the bad guys doesn’t help. Part of the problem is that MOST law enforcement including the feds are conservative pro 2nd amendment. Most police chiefs and sheriffs are not. They speak for the troops but don’t necessarily share the same beliefs.

Our gun rights will eventually be taken. It’ll just be done in smaller bites than what they are currently proposing.

When the police start confinscating rifles and arresting citizens for pmags, unregistered rifles, etc. They WILL have become the bad guys, in my eyes. I will stop supporting them. I don't think that is a conspiracy theory. I know a lot of sheriffs spoke out against 1639. Hopefully they are more organized/prepared to do what they can about these proposed laws. Hopefully we can put enough pressure on our representatives to stop this before they ever become law.

Here is a look at the thought process of the kind of person who wants to see
these laws passed and firearms confiscated.

I can not imagine reading what happened to these two, looking at that little girls face and having what this "lady" posted come to mind.

May they Rest in peace.

I fail to see the correlation.

People here have spoken out against sound transit and even voted again to get rid of the horrible tab fees.
The courts and the AG will ram it down your throat and ignore the $30 tab vote.

People are such ***** ass weenies that they will just pay it anyways. Very FEW will actually boycott the state and refuse to buy tabs.

Very few are willing to BREAK THE LAW and drive with no tabs to protest this injustice.

How many of these cushy ass, ***** *****, yes maam, ****ers do you think are going to violate firearm laws and risk becoming a felon?

The majority of the people in the country are too COMFORTABLE to actually throw down when it comes time. They will roll over and happily take it in the ass like Australia and NZ have.

Get real, talk is tough, but folks actually voting or having a spine are not present in the kinda numbers that make a difference.

Get used to being ****ed in the ass, pretty soon it will just feel normal.

Maybe read up on history.

Ask Randy and Kevin how well it all worked out for them? Or maybe Bundy?

Several others to.

Standing up for your rights will get you killed in this nation unless you have MASSIVE backup.

Hate to let ya in on a little secret, backup aint comin anytime soon! :tumbleweed:

Maybe we should do a nwwheelers car pool to turn all our stuff in when this passes.

I have read enough history to know what tyrannical socialist governments do with their people after they disarm them.

I dont think backup's coming either. But I think somethings coming. The anti's are all in, the mask is off, the pan is about to boil over, the burner has been set to high. They arnt taking no for an answer.
Look how that "lady" feels about the death of that little girl. I wonder what she will support being done with adults she doesn't agree with.
If we roll over and give up on guns, what will they try to take next. You know they will move on to the next thing to take or ban. I guess we can all throw in the towel and find out.

Everyone compares gun control and confiscation to the Nazi party taking guns away from the Jews.

Watch and learn mother****ers.

Even in today's society with instant communication we don't have any fight against this unless very well organized and willing to die for the cause.

Sorry about your bad luck but that is not going to happen.

Even in that proposed "boogaloo" or whatever it's called in New York last month, there were a ****load of keyboard warriors "willing to help out" but who actually showed up?

Yeah I've been sending emails. I might try to schedule some meetings for Mondays next month.

I just saw this posted by Sporting Systems. For those that don't know, the owner of Sporting Systems (Dan Mitchell) is a major player in the 1639 lawsuit and fighting for the 2A in Washington.

"Please visit and share this website across Washington. We used it during the repeal effort and it was an amazing resource. We will continue to using it as clearinghouse for information, activism, contracting reps, providing original content relevant to Washington laws, calendar of events, and all things related to firearm laws in Washington.

There is no fundraising, no spam, just action.

Washington, we're going on the offensive."

"We have professional people from all walks of life working together in one direction. This is just the beginning of the offensive. We have landed Web developers, IT specialists, strategists, marketing directors, campaign and crisis managers, communication managers."

I'm a big fan of the 2nd amendment. Hopefully we can work towards stopping these folks.

For anyone who is not up to speed.
HB2240 (Magban) timed out and died, with help from republicans and the 120 amendments they proposed ;). Democrats who are all in on "gun control" immediately introduced a new Magazine ban bill, HB2947. HB2947 contains a ***le that makes the bill more difficult to amend. Also there is a buy-back program included in the bill, so it would be considered a fiscal bill, making it necessary to implement the budget or (NTIB) so it won't be subject to normal cutoff rules. This underhanded technique is being used to try and force the bill through. This is not good .

Please E mail all house D's and let them know how you feel about this. He have managed to put enough pressure on this that even a few D's are not supporting these bills. lets keep it up.
