• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

...This Project needs a name build..

Been a little busy as of late. Will be retiring from the Army in a couple months so it was time to put down some roots. Bought a house up here in Alaska, plenty of time moving and still settling in. Hope to get the garage setup and get back to work on the FJ40 soon.

Got the garage a little bit setup, at least enough to tinker on the FJ40. Sometimes you need to go back to move forward towards the correct goal. In this case FJ60 axle going in (2.75 inches wider and bigger knuckles) and a shackle reversal. I will be outboarding the spring hangers to match the perches on the axles. I have a complete FJ60 axle for the rear as well.

At this point I must decide. stay SUA maintain a low COG or go SOA. SOA will cost me more in steering components but "better/more" articulation.

Update:. In the process of moving to Oregon from Alaska. Have all my rigs down here now including my 40 and my 80. 40 still has a way to go. Wiring in the lm7 and getting fuel system and then a few smaller things. Waiting for home to sell before I buy here. Hope to find a place with a decent shop. Hopefully meet up with some members down here as well as make it up into WA a few times.

Oregon has some good wheeling! What part you headed to? Already have plans to get back down to the Redmond/bend/sisters areas in the spring
