my buddy just got a 87 samurai.. he just did a spring over and his uncle had a set of pretty much brand new 33 in thornbirds he gave him... for free ...my buddy just bought a hot knife and is looking to make the best of what he has for now....any ideas.....we all know the tires are:rb: so lets keep on track here thanks for the help....picture would help

Cut lots off. And take a pic of the pile afterwards, it's gonna be bigger than the tires. :haha: :haha: :haha:

I improved my SSRs

Get the tires nice and hot, either let them cook in the sun if we ever get any, or put them in front of a heater. Cutting goes a lot smoother when the tires are hot.

don't "groove" them.....

you need to "carve", "shape", "hack", etc....

I think.....for free especially.....they've got to have potential....some of the side lugs are pretty big....you just need to really open them up....

First thing I recommend is get them sipped. I had a set and I loved them, they work with some sipping and cutting. The sipping will help a lot in the rocks and on the snow and Ice....
