tire size question

Hi

I found some tires for $100 on craigslist in 225/70R16 size.

The vehicle for which they are for specifies 225/75R16 size.

What is the downside to running 70 series where 75 series are specified?

Speedo will be off but not much. Those two sizes are really close you would be fine.

yep, nearly an inch. and if going from worn tires, to ones with some tread, it will likely be more than an inch difference.

also, there will be less sidewall on the 70 series, might not ride quite as good.
